CanForge

Private betaHosted in Canada

Your repositories never leave Canada.

CanForge is managed Forgejo hosting on Canadian servers, operated by a Canadian company. Same Git, same workflow — no cross-border replication, no US-controlled provider holding your source.

Data residency

What “in Canada” actually means here

Where it runs

Repositories, CI logs, and backups sit on servers in Canada. No replication to US or EU regions, and no third-country CDN in front of your Git traffic.

Who runs it

The Canadian team behind CanadaGPT. Your source is not held by a US-controlled provider.

What it is

Forgejo, the community-governed open-source forge. Standard Git, standard formats, and a full export whenever you want it.

What is included

A full forge, not a mirror

Questions

Before you sign up

When does it open?

Early access rolls out in stages, starting with teams that have a hard residency requirement. Waitlist order and stated need both factor in.

What will it cost?

Pricing is not final, so we will not quote a number we would have to change. Waitlist members see it first.

Can I bring my history?

Yes. Forgejo imports repositories with full history, plus issues and pull requests from GitHub and GitLab. You can also run a mirror while you move.

Why Forgejo?

It is open source and community-governed, so the platform cannot be sold out from under you — and if you ever leave, your data comes with you in standard formats.
